Last week, Carrie Lee, chief nursing officer, and Missy Lynch, Human Resources executive director, surprised each of the three recipients with the special scholarship award. There were smiles, cheers and tears all around!

About the Scholarship

Established in 2022, the Black Nurses scholarship provides up to $7,500 for tuition, fees and books for eligible SLCH/BJC employees pursuing an undergraduate Associate’s or Bachelor’s nursing degree.

Recipients were chosen by a scholarship review committee. Scholarship funding comes from generous donations to the SLCH Foundation.
