
The DEA Teen Leadership Academy Class is a full-day youth leadership and career exploration experience designed to expose teens to public safety, criminal justice, leadership, and professional development. The academy will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy, 1266 Sutter Ave., St. Louis, MO 63133. Doors open at 8:00 AM, with programming continuing through 3:45 PM.
Participants will engage with professionals from the DEA, St. Louis County Police Department, St. Louis Community College, and community organizations through interactive sessions focused on application and interview skills, criminal justice career pathways, responsible social media use, physical training, drug prevention education, and leadership development. The day will also include a VIRTRA experience and Police Academy tour, giving students hands-on exposure to the training and responsibilities associated with careers in public safety.
The academy provides an opportunity for teens to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, explore future career and education pathways, and learn directly from law enforcement and community leaders.
