About 1,400 Parkway middle school students gathered on the Saint Louis University campus for an exclusive workforce development event focused on career exploration and preparing young people for future employment.
The event was a collaboration between the Regional Business Council, Saint Louis University, and the Parkway School District. Leaders from 40 local companies were on hand to share insights into a wide range of career paths and industries.
Students from Parkway middle schools took part in interactive activities and small group breakout sessions, giving them the opportunity to ask questions, gain hands-on experience, and engage directly with professionals.
Gina Covington James of Parkway Schools highlighted the value of face-to-face interaction in helping students better understand potential career options.
