Yeah I Built That is a website that is designed to be a resource for young people exploring built environment career paths. It also provides needed information for parents, guidance counselors, teachers, employers, union leaders, and public officials. Over and over, industry members tell us they love the moment when they can pass by a completed structure or project, point, and say, “Yeah, I built that!” Yeah I Built That includes information about specific career paths, career videos, and links to resources such apprenticeship admission processes, university programs, and help connecting with agencies providing access to basic needs such as transportation and legal assistance.

Construction Forum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission, “To facilitate the collaboration of all the stakeholders in the St. Louis Region’s built environment in creating inclusive, robust employment and economic growth.” The Forum is a communication channel, a convener, and a collaboration builder. It produces a twice-weekly enewsletter sent to 9,500 addresses, a website with 200K annual page views, and numerous outreach efforts in the workforce arena, including a robust Emerging Leaders group.

The AGC of America is offering scholarships designed for students enrolled in accredited technical schools or craft training programs in any discipline of commercial construction. Students in technical or approved craft programs can apply for $1,000 scholarships (which are renewable for up to two years) from the foundation. The application deadline is June 1.
